Hochiminh’s Rant Day 7 May 9, 2006
Hello, again. Man, I got NO sleep last night. I was lying in bed thinking about all the wonderful announcements about the Wii at E3. I want to do a Part 1 and Part 2 today, one before the show and one after. Actually, I was really thinking about what Virtual Console games would be coming out, especially at launch.
As announced on revogaming.net, the Turbo-Grapx 16 first-party games will be available at launch. I am sure most of the Nintendo first-party games will be there along with some Genesis games. But I have a plea for Nintendo, and I hope they here it and address it at their looming press conference. Here is a list of other consoles that they should have games for at launch or soon after:
-Other Sega Systems (32X, Sega CD, Saturn, and Dreamcast)
-Other Atari systems (Jagaur and the old Atari days (please bring Electronic Football, Pitfall, and Breakout))….you’re making Dragon Ball Z for the Wii…you know what to do
-Mr. Game and Watch
-Commodore 64
-Panasonic 3DO and 3DO M2 (Crash and Burn, Way of the Warrior, or Road Rash anyone?)
-Neo-Geo and Neo-Geo 64 (SNK…you’re making Metal Slug for Wi…you know what to do)
-Collecovision games and good-ole pong
-any CD-Rom game for the PC that is not Microsoft and any hard disk/DOS games before that (I would LOVE to play Oregon Trail!)
-calll me crazy, but I would like to see some Tiger Electronic handheld games…you know, get a little Double Dragon and Mortal Kombat
-anything else that is Not Microsoft’s or Sony’s
-Oh yeah, I forgot…crazy ole me wouldn’t mind the Phillips CD-i…lol.
-Any handhelds (Game Boy, Game Boy Color, Game Boy Advance, Atari Linx, Sega Game Gear, or any other handheld)
If there is any other system I missed, please respond. I will talk to you later about my interpretations of E3 2006. I am going to work now. I’ll be back at 3 p.m. central time. I’ll have to wait for the exciting news…sob

Oh, yeah. I LOVE the Master System’s Double Dragon. Unfortunatly, our Master System and all of its games were sold; we had a HUGE box of games.
I have Toejam and Earl 1 & 2 on Genesis… they could use a save function, lol.
As for Phillips CD-i, I could argue all day there. I never played their Zelda games, but screenshots are bad enough.
