Miyamoto’s Famitsu’s Interview May 24, 2006

You know Miyamoto probably has a huge smile on his face after he heads home from an interview. He loves to tease us with information that can be taken in any number of ways. His latest interview took place with Famitsu magazine in which he discussed a couple points of interest.First up, Miyamoto made mention of how the Wiimote could make for a new play experience in Star Fox IF that were taken advantage of. He doesn’t say that StarFox is in the works, nor does he deny it. Perhaps he was just using StarFox as an example. Then again, Mr. Miyamoto knows that with any slight mention of any title relating to the Wii, word will spread like wild fire…and here we are reporting on it!

Mr. Miyamoto then moved onto the topic of Mario, in which he said he is looking forward to making something possible in the world of Mario that has not yet been possible up to this point. It is unclear whether Mr. Miyamoto was talking about something to happen in Super Mario Galaxy due to the Wiimote, or perhaps something in the future of the series. Personally, I think the Wiimote will make for a lot of new and exciting things in the Mario universe, but I could be wrong. Thanks to Famicom1 for the heads up!
