Video Games Live Hitting Philidelphia June 3, 2006

Tomorrow, citizens of Philadelphia are in for a treat when the Video Games Live concert series continues its tour at the Merriam Theater. Tickets for the musical event fall between $25-65, and are currently still on sale at Ticketmaster.If you’re not sure what to expect, check out the latest trailer from the recent San Jose show for an idea. The show uses game footage, lighting, and music to create an all encompassing experience for the senses.For the hardcore, the organizers are also throwing a pre-show event with a variety of events between 7:00 - 8:00 P.M, including a videogame costume contest sponsored by none other than 1UP where the audience chooses a winner during the show, and a Guitar Hero challenge where the highest scoring rocker walks away with a one-of-a-kind limited edition axe.

The music and performances at Video Games Live are from classic series like Mario, Zelda, Halo, Metal Gear Solid, Final Fantasy, Tomb Raider, Castlevania, Kingdom Hearts and more.

And if you’re not in Philadelphia this weekend, don’t panic! Video Games Live currently has tickets on sale for performances in Houston, Chicago, Indianapolis, Toronto, and LA.
