Spider-Man: Battle for New York July 20, 2006
A new Spider-man not based on any movies will come this fall for the DS and GBA.
Videogames1, MTV’s video game site, announced today that Activision will be bringing a brand new Spider-Man game to DS and Game Boy Advance.
Titled Spider-Man: Battle For New York, players will once again guide Spidey, along with brand new playable character Green Goblin, through New York’s baddie populated streets and alleys. Depending on which of the two characters you play as, your goal will be either to save or destroy the city. The game will also feature new role-playing elements, allowing for character customization, and will utilize WI-Fi connectivity. No word yet on whether it will use Ultimate Spider-Man’s impressive cel-shaded graphics engine or if it will take on an original visual style.
Spider-Man: Battle For New York is being developed by Torus Games (the team behind last year’s Game Boy Advance version of Fantastic 4), and is slated for a fall release.
