Europe gets a Wii update to 2.1E January 10, 2007

Filed under: First Look, News — boggie @ 5:26 am

I woke up this morning to a Wii update which takes the current 2.0E to 2.1E.

It appears to be a small update and downloads quite quickly and as far as I can see there are no noticeable changes.

I’ll keep you posted if I find anything worth writing about. As far as I know at the moment there is no such update for the US but that may change as the day goes on.

Update: I have given the system a good looking through and cannot notice any changes, I’m assuming it’s bug fixing and security updates.

I have a US Wii, i’ll keep a heads up in case there is any update, also, i’ll try to figure out what exactly has been added, if anything, since its a small update it wouldn’t surprise me if it were a simple fix of some sort.

It seems to be a Parental Control update. Don’t know the difference exactly but after the download I was notified that I now had Parental Control options…
