Japan’s Virtual Console line-up for February January 26, 2007

Japan is in for a treat come February. Not only are they getting a bunch of new VC titles. They are getting one of the best games ever made. It was the game to own on the N64 and even I thought it was fantastic and I am not a Zelda fanboy. To think it’s been almost a decade since The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time has been released (1998) without having reduced the quality behind this game. Playing this on the Wii will cost you a tidy bit. 1200 points and is therefore the most expensive VC title currently available. How long will it take before this is available to the rest of the world? I hope not too long, because I feel it is one of the few titles worth my points.
Here’s the full list:
- NES (500)
- Mighty Boxing
- Galaga
- Hoshi no Kirby
- SNES (800)
- Kamaitachi no Yoru
- Megami Tensei (900)
- Daimakaimura
- Sangokushi IV
- N64
- Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time (1200 points)
- Sega Genisis (600)
- Bare Knuckle aka Streets of Rage
- Story of Thor
- Vectorman
- Vermilion
- TurboGrafx-16 (600)
- Vigilante
- BE BALL
- Yokai Douchuuki aka Shadowland
- Wonder Momo
This list also reminded of another advantage the Japanese have. They get their Mega Drive games 200 points cheaper.
Now it’s wait and see as well as pray that we at least get Ocarina of Time.

As much as I love this game, I wouldn’t mind having this on my VC. But then I already have the original cartidge for the N64 and the special GameCube version which includes Ocarina of Time and Ocarina of Time: Master Quest!
Beside this one, I’m looking forward to Majora’s Mask though, hopefully sometime in the summer. \:D/
** What I’m really looking forward to is the Ocarina of Time in 2-D! - A remake by Dampe. So imagine Ocarina of Time in the same graphic/art-style as the SNES classic, A Link to the Past, with overhead view, etc. Source: http://www.trmgames.com

i pray to god that nintendo gets a move on letting new homebrew and vc made games available, the vc is also to feature this and upgradeable classics
Ocarina truly stands the test of time. And was one of the first games I downloaded from VC!
