New York, NY – February 6, 2007 – Rockstar Games, the world-renowned publishing label of Take-Two Interactive Software, Inc., is proud to announce Manhunt 2 for the Nintendo Wii™. Manhunt 2 is the debut title from the newly formed Rockstar London studio, which is developing the game in conjunction with series creator Rockstar North. The Wii™ version is being developed by Rockstar Toronto. Manhunt 2 will be available this summer.
“With Manhunt 2 we have tried to create a game that stays close to the original concept of chilling suspense and stealth, whilst pushing the game design and storytelling forward,” said Sam Houser, founder and executive producer of Rockstar Games. “We are also excited to have our newest development team, Rockstar London, working on the title alongside our two established UK studios, Rockstar North and Leeds.”

YOUR KIDDING ME!!! Whoa…
Sounds like an ideal vehicle for controversy.
I’m glad to see some titles like these coming to a Nintendo system. Hopefully they keep it up.
I liked the original, even though I spent many hours in a dark room to play it. I open this game will be as entertaining.
Shit. Now imagine GTA…
[...] First Rockstar made an announcement, then we saw a teaser. Now if you want you can view the official website, just to make sure your mind isn’t playing tricks on you. The game is not yet rated, but don’t hope for anything less than your local 18+ rating if this is anything like the first game. I know Manhunt received an M for Mature (17+), but it should have been AO (Adult Only 18+). Oddly enough if you click on the information link you can read something very interesting. It looks like all versions except the Wii version are being developed by Rockstar London. The Wii version is being developed by Rockstar Toronto. I can only hope this is a good thing, with one team focusing solely on the Wii’s capabilities. On the other hand it could mean they are letting a team create a port, so the other team does not need to worry about the Wii’s unique controls. There’s even a, at the moment, useless purchase link. I’ll be clicking that as soon as possible. Joysitq also has what I assume to be a mockup box art and nothing final.
