Apple TV channel coming to the Wii this Fall! April 1, 2007

CUPERTINO, California—March 30, 2007—Apple® today announced it will be offering Apple TV as a channel for Nintendo’s Wii Console. The Apple TV channel will offer two different services, the first being an interface to interact with your actual Apple TV box, giving you all of the control of your Apple TV box from anywhere in the world. The second is an interface that allows the user to upload or record their own music, movies, television shows, pictures and more to their own apple.com/wii/username address. The new interface users iTunes breakthrough interface design with Nintendo’s breakthrough Wii remote to give the user unlimited access to all of their media from wherever they are in the world.

I did it in 10 minutes, I had big plans of faking a video of the Opera browser and all this, but my weekend got filled up…
Hopefully people will get a good laugh, or at least believe it for a few seconds.

I didn’t have time this week/weekend to do anything too elaborate.

me personaly i loved this joke. yes it would be great if apple did something like that, but i dont think it is that far away. i think its pretty possible. sometime last year apple and nintendo were talking about video games, people spectulated that there was going to be a small add-on to the iPod so that you can play NES games on them. maybe this is something that they were discussing. who knows

Next time just contact me first suburbia, there are ways you could have made this seem even more realistic, like changing or removing the favicon, making the page url look like an apple.com url… etc
