Nintendo Looking to Ramp Up Wii Production July 17, 2007

Last week Nintendo commented on a possible Wii drought this next holiday season. Many naysayers, including myself, figured this was Nintendo playing the market and trying to artificially increase demand for the console by allowing it to stay in short supply.
Well, now Nintendo may be working to prove us pessimists wrong! EMSnow, an electronic manufacturing services website reports that Nintendo has been in talks with numerous firms hoping to out source more of their Wii chip and manufacturing production and increase production.
Hopefully this is a sign of good things to come and everyone who longs to own a Wii will have the opportunity to do so by this year’s holiday season.

Look at all those Wii boxes..
I wouldn’t mind owning a couple more for my Dad, little bro and sis.
If you think about it, there could only be so many shipments each week until the Holidays. So if any parents want to grab one for their kids for X-mas, better get it early, because I have a feeling demand will be outraged by December.
Actually, I wanna wait for the colors to arrive. I’d like a silver Wii and remotes to match the DS and all. By the way, new colors for the DS Lite rose in South Korea+Japan including my long-awaited silver. \:D/
