Ohh, try and tell me that UK has been shafted again an I will kick you in the teeth!
I’m jealous! D: ):
What the…? Red Steel 2? Heh… I hope it’s true =D
Why would gamestop have UK release dates? We Don’t have any Gamestops over here, only game & gamestation
yeah, this isn’t completely accurate seeing as it says metroid prime 3 for october. Thanks for the list though!
Fire Emblem: Goddess of Dawn - 15th November
- So soon? I thought this wasn’t out until that month 2008.
Super Mario Galaxy - 15th October
- This was known.
Mario Kart Wii - 15th February, 2008
- Tentative I hope…. what’s with all the 15th’s by the way?
Metroid Prime 3: Corruption - 26th October
- I thought it was late September, what the hell? Did it already get pushed back?
NBA Live 08 - 4th October
- I want to see how they use the controls.
Need for Speed: ProStreet - 15th November
- Probably will get the 360 version for some online action.
Red Steel 2 - 15th November
- #1 sucked, so I hope this fares better, but we’re sure this sin’t supposed to be 2008? Plus I thought it was in early development.
Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles - 15th October
- With Zapper and this year?
Spiderman: Friend or Foe - 11th October
- Spider-Man is better than your favourite super hero and villain. Combined.
Super Paper Mario - 14th September
- Took it’s time didn’t it.
Super Smash Bros. Brawl - 15th February, 2008
- I’ll go ahead and rent it.
Tony Hawk’s Proving Ground - 11th October, 2007
- Definately on the 360 and not Wii… though I’ll rent it first to see if I like the controls. Or I’ll go to GameStation they like me. They’ll let me try it out.
fadecy: We do have GameStop over here. There’s on in Birmingham, between the Pallasades and the Bullring. There aren’t many, but they do exist.
Wishale: This list is highly inaccurate and yes, it proves that the UK has been shafted again. Look at the games on there which have a later release date than the US and by a lot.
LOL @ Gamestation
That’s like Gamecube + PlayStation.
Don’t tell me South America’s got GameCast! \:D/
And look, the title for Forever Blue even stays the same in the UK as the Japanese version rather than Eternal Ocean.
If that’s true for RedSteel 2, then should getting it around December or January, I hope.
// Roth
if these are true then we should start hearing about them soon…..
very very soon :_)
@Wishale
Red Steel 2 in November is unlikely, but did you check the other UK release dates? We have to wait an extra 2 months for MP3, Super Paper Mario is finally released next month, Trauma Center only came out a couple of weeks ago. Those last 2 games are 2 of the best reviewed games on Metcritic, and we’ve had to wait over 6 months for them. Granted, we got Mario Strikers a few weeks before the US but other than that we get screwed. Constantly. And we pay over 50% more for the games when they do arrive.
@filliam
Try again, October is the official release for MP3 in the UK.
Still, UK release date aren’t always the same for the rest of Europe.
I thought we would be getting metroid in September…
Gotta re-check that..
@Paul
I completely agree with you and the rest of Europe sometimes get screwed over even more than the UK.
Sometimes I wonder what the heck Nintendo is thinking…
@ fadecy - there are about three GameStop stores in England and quite a few more in Northern Ireland.
We’re getting screwed because every game has to be translated to italian, spanish, german and french before it releases in Europe, so blame them. On the other hand many games goes through several bugfixes and small changes on its way over here wich means that many PAl releases are far more stable and better than the North American ones. Metroid Prime 1 is a good example of that.
@paq
Maybe, but the big problem is the artificial restrictions we’re given. We’re not given the choice of importing games because the UK Wii is PAL only, even though most modern TVs are capable of NTSC playback. I wouldn’t mind the late release dates / translations into 5 or 6 other languages if I was at least given a choice.
@quinnten83
I’ve had MP3 pre-ordered through play.com since February, and they’re showing a 26th October releasde date. they’re usually pretty accurate with release dates once the publisher has finalised them.
lol america gets brawl december 3rd!
@paq: If that was the issue, why does the 360 and the PS3 not have this problem?
360:
BioShock - 21st August US, 24th UK and EU.
Halo 3 - 26th September US, 27th UK and EU.
PS3:
Assassin’s Creed - 1st November US, 9th UK and EU
Heavenly Sword - 12th September US, 14th UK, 19th EU
Look at these release dates. They are pretty much a week max. If this is no issue for these consoles, why is it for Nintendo? Oh yeah, no reason.
I SEE MY DESIRE..^^
the sooner fire emblem comes out the better
I NEED IT
now only waiting for it
