Super Smash Bros Dojo Update #64 August 21, 2007
“The Subspace Emissary” storyline introduces a force of formless enemies called the Subspace Army. They are ruled by their commander, the Ancient Minister.
The Ancient Minister.
The enemy’s primary offensive strength is in creatures called the Primid. They come in many variations.
Their objective is to cut apart the world and carry it into Subspace. They use what are called Subspace bombs to do so.
The Robotic Operating Buddies (R.O.B.s) on either side of the Subspace bomb are needed to detonate the device.
When a Subspace bomb explodes, a section of the world gets excised and swallowed by Subspace.
Kaboom! The stadium is engulfed!
This is a new, never-before-seen form of aggression…but now is no time to stop and stare. Everyone, everywhere, is beginning to move against it.

Two Words: Freaking Awesome
The return of R.O.B. as well as the revealing of Petey Piranha who may or may not be a newcomer (he’s huge in the video but don’t forget that Bowser was the end boss of SSBM adventure mode and was bigger than usual) is great. I figured we’d get an item or a stage, I was NOT expecting this from a Tuesday update! I love daily updates!

So it’s kinda like a black-hole bomb, which, of course, is awesome. I really hope R.O.B. is a character rather than an item used to open the bomb.
My prayers have been answered.. in a way I could never have thought of. \:D/

petey is fu**in’ huge!! AWESOME!! he wont be playable though (i laugh at crazy people who want innapropriate characters playable) he’s most likely a boss like bowser was in melee or like someone you fight before the boss, he’s too big to be playable, maybe you dont even fight him

Yes, Petey is massive but don’t forget that Bowser was larger than usual in the SSBM story mode as well. They could EASILY have done the same thing for this with the explanation that the Ancient Minister powered up the Piranha Plant. He’d be large in story mode (like Adventure Bowser in SSBM) but smaller as a playable (like Playable Bowser in SSBM).
Personally, I would rather see someone else be the new Mario representative (Bowser Jr., Geno, even Fawful) than Petey Piranha. However, writing him off considering the possibility is just as silly as saying it is a possibility (especially when you consider Mario Kart where he is only Bowser sized).

I think petey will b a really good playable character and mabey it is that he is just huge in adventure mode and will b smaller when playable only time will tell cross ur fingers

i wonder how all this will work out
maybe where mario lands he will find other character like ling and samus. and with each new level you play as a different character. so when you get to play as a newcomer and you beat their level you get to become them as a playable character
This is how I think it will work.
They will all be called by one person like on a screen shot you see that goddess talking to pit. She’s telling pit that Mario and others needs help defeating this enemy. Every person will get a call like that from someone from there world.
I could see something like that.
