Iwata: No Wii Sports sequel…..as of now September 13, 2007
In an interview with Nintendo President Sataru Iwata’s interview:
“(been asked about Wii Sports sequel) Many times. (laugh)…We’re not going to take such an easy way, not by including seven new sports in the game since Wii Sports has five. We’re not closing our doors to the possibility of a sequel, but it’s definitely not coming out soon…Yes (it’s predictable), like “let’s improve the graphics a bit moreâ€Â…Or maybe sign contracts with professional athletes and create Mii that looks just like them…If you start making such decisions without thinking, you start doing the easy stuff. You disengage yourself with the pursuit of true entertainment.â€Â
We really want Wii Sports 2 with Wi-Fi compatibility!

I think a sequel would be okay if it improved on the baseball and made the real rules apply. thats always annoyed me how they use your average playground rules for it.. They could improve on the boxing also.
golf is definitly the funnest but it sooo hard and addicting

I love Nintendo… they are really determined to not turn into all the other crappy developers who just rehash games for money. They actually ‘think’ about sequels and games instead of just ramming more junk in there and not changing anything. Keep on inovating and help the industry evolve and you will evolve with it…
Wifi will be so cool plus graphics will make it even better. i agree on the baseball and the boxing.
A sequel would be great as long as they don’t just throw crap together. Quality is obviously a must.

WIFI for multiplayer online - obviously
Add multiple 18 hole golf courses for Wii Golf.
Improve upon Wii Baseball, 9 innings and the ability to play defense.
Wii Basketball.
Wii Duck Hunt
Wii Hockey
Wii Football
Wii Kickball
Wii Billiards, the one on Play needs improvement and 8-ball
