For the Canadians, it’s time for us to go down to the United States if you can, and pick up a Wii. Why? Because today, the Canadian Dollar is now equal to the American Dollar for the first time since 1976. In most places across Canada, the cost of the Wii is $289.99. In the United States, it’s $250. So this is your chance to get down to the States and get a Wii for yourself or that good friend of yours.

That’s what we in the United States get for dropping the gold standard.

yay, i got my wii already but maybe I’ll have to go to the US and pick up some games for $10 cheaper.

Never looked at it that way. When I heard the dollar drop to the level of the Canadian today, my mouth just about hit the floor. That’s absolutely insane. Instead of mopping about the “gold standard”, some of the smart bloggers should take this as a sign to invest in some gold.

More like thats what we get for spending money on Iraq like we have an infinite supply of it, and printing more to spend and causing inflation/etc.

I’m selling about $3000 of gold today. :D

For those USians who want the return to the gold standard, remember to vote for Ron Paul in the Republican primaries. All the other candidates on both sides are more of the same.
