Can Halo 3 Save Xbox 360 from Wii? September 24, 2007
BusinessWeek’s Bruce Nussbaum has posted an editorial in which he asks if Halo 3 can save Xbox 360 from Nintendo’s Wii, which is currently the best-selling new system.
For hard-core gamers, this week’s introduction of Halo 3 is a gigantic event and this third iteration of the Halo game series is said to be totally awesome. That will certainly help push Microsoft’s Xbox 360 into the black and may be the last chance for Xbox to become a truly profitable operation.
But the real issue is whether the Xbox can take on Nintendo’s Wii which is now the No. 1 best-selling game console in the US. And the answer is probably not.

There’s still Brawl and Super Mario Galaxy, and they sure to sell big.
I personally think this game will single handedly make the 360 outsell the Wii. I’m even buying a 360 just for this! I haven’t got it yet, but all my friends got it last night and I can’t wait to see how it is!
The short answer: Yes, this game is better than anything Nintendo can produce, and can single handedly make the 360 outsell the Wii.

In Europe NOBODY is interested in Halo 3, so I believe this will only have an impact in the US.
I will make the 360 out sell the Wii in America for sure ,but In Europe and Japan there really not interested in the Game.
So the Wii should stay ahead world wide and When SSBB comes out in Japan it’s going to be buy a wii-apolooza!

Hmm, let’s take a second and think here.
Who were the first people to buy 360s? The people that like the Halo series. So how many 360 units will Halo 3 sell? Slim to none. Most people that are going to buy Halo 3 already have a 360.
Most others don’t care about a game that has a mediocre story line which stole most of its good elements from other successful PC games and then brought them to the console.
