Wii Firmware Upgrade 3.1 released October 10, 2007
Nintendo has released the latest Firmware update for the Wii tonight. The update is mainly for the Internet Channel.
The update includes the following:
# USB keyboard compatibility
# Links received on the Wii Message Board can now be opened in Internet Channel
# Can now send web-links to friends to view
# Can copy text from page being viewed and paste it into a search engine

how do u copy and paste using new update?
You can only paste into a search engine… Select the text by pressing and holding the A button, en then click the search icon on your browser bar. the text will be copied onto the search engine…

They did retard. How do you think anyone knows about it? Check your internet settings on your wii.
does it include the latest flash 8 version ?
Flash 9 is the latest, but they’re only allowed to use up to Flash 7, since version 8 and later are owned by another major company that is Adobe.
Also, the Everybody Votes Channel is compatible with 3.1, so those haven’t downloaded the channel yet, feel free to do so.
In the meantime, I might wanna get me a mini USB keyboard.
With that, does this mean we can copy+paste text+URLs?

You can send URLs to friend with teh internet channel, and you can open links in the message board. kool. Also, the ppl at Wiinewz.com forums report it works fine on a modded console.

USB keyboards on internet channel, two new channels that include a DS Download feature, copy and paste on internet channel, new games and game footage and info, Sonic in brawl, new WiiWare titles and tons more, now I know why I bought my Wii! I’m still getting a 360, but this will keep me playing my Wii for a long time!
