Nintendo annouced a few titles coming to its Wii Ware downloadable service in Japan at its Fall 2007 Conference earlier this month. Among them was Square Enix’s Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Little King and the Promise Country, and the most recent issue of Famitsu (translated by 1up) has more details on the title. A continuation of the Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles series that began on the GameCube, Little King and the Promise Country will supplant the first title’s dungeon-crawler gameplay with numerous strategy elements. Taking the role of young King Leo, a member of Crystal Chronicles’ Clavat race, you’ll dole out dungeon-exploring tasks to underlings to obtain precious power-granting crystals.

These crystals will be used to harness powers known as “The Architect” to establish towns by constructing buildings like equipment-producing weapon shops and ability-endowing magic schools. Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Little King and the Promise Country debuts in Japan this spring for 1500 Wii Points ($15), but Square Enix has not revealed plans of a release for other territories.

How many blocks of memory would this take? I think Nintendo has got to be seriously considering a hard-drive option, or at least writing/reading directly to/from SD cards. It would only make sense if they keep adding games and other software to download.

Yep, I agree because 512mb it’s nothing nowadays. Even my cellular phone has more memory.
    So it’s a must.
