So everyone has been saying Wii software doesn’t sell and the upcoming release of game like GH3 would prove there theory’s, but Based on the latest stats from Amazon.com from yesterday, the Wii version of Guitar Hero III has been ranked as the No. 1 offering in the Computer & Video Games division, beating out the 360 (No. 7) and PS3 (No. 40) versions of the game. Could Guitar Hero III be the third-party title to prove that the Wii isn’t just for the casuals?

But isn’t this an uber casual game?

I am one of the customers who bought GH III for the Wii. So I helped the Wii prove everyone wrong! :D

Erm… you can’t see what you’re typing in the comments box or a poster’s comment on the white background. The brown background is fine though.

    It’s now been fixed.

Yeah unfortunately this is probably the only casual game available on other platforms, so it’s no suprise that the wii version is more popular. If anything this proves the opposite is true.

Well the argument is that the Wii only sales Nintendo Games.
Not the Wii only sales casual Games ,but that is another argument that I hope games like Manhunt disprove. RE4: Wii already help disprove that by selling like 1 million copies.

We gotta be honest here. I love my Wii but saying that GHIII proves that the Wii isn’t just for casual gamers is wrong. It’s great and all, I loved playing the earlier versions. But it is like the ultimate casual game out there on any console (together with Buzz :D)

I see that the layout issue has been fixed, that’s great. I like the new layout guys :)

So again, this is the definition of casual gaming. If we were talking Metroid Prime I’d probably have to give it to you. The problem with gaming right now is finding the money to want to spend on obscure titles. Personally I think there are plenty of games to krep the average gamer satisfied, but what will make someone want to pick up something different? Maybe a different kind of game in the way GH is different. Otherwise it will be hard, especially to the N faithful to take a chance on anything else.

I mean if you only bought Nintendo titles it is fair to say that many people could be satisfied with their grade A content and the vc weekly release. Its not very often the loyal would have to stray unless you had nothing but time for gaming.

360 had gh2,so many ppl will get only the game…without the guitar…also rock band is on the way,so…
