1,400 Wii consoles sold in 10 Minutes? November 24, 2007

It’s Wii’s second Christmas, and there’s a strong push behind the console. Will it be the best selling console this Christmas? I think so, but how about you?
Amazon sold 1,400 consoles in just ten minutes, when their stock was renewed last week. A story not so hard to belive, as the Wii becomes harder to find each day.
The craze has predictably pushed up prices of the console - some are selling on eBay and Amazon for over $400. Just as Reggie said, there just aren’t enough consoles for everyone.
“There is a steady flow of Wiis into the country between now and Christmas. It will not be enough to meet all consumer demand but is sufficient for retailers to enjoy good levels of sales in the run-up to Christmas.”
So keep an eye out for Wiis in your area, and hope you’re one of the lucky ones.

That’s so crazy to hear about people not being able to buy wii’s. They’ve always got at least 5 in stock each week at the walmart where i live and same with games like Super Mario Galaxy they’ve got 20 of them just sitting there. Guess not to many ppl play the wii round here.
People are just looking at the popular places. They don’t look at the smaller stores like HOLLYWOOD VIDEO! I saw 3 boxes there behind the glass and ready to be bought. I wish I would get a second one. I’m kinda near the fence.
