Not including remakes we have..
Metroid
Metroid II: Return of Samus
Super Metroid
Metroid Fusion
Metroid Prime
Metroid Prime II: Echos
Metroid Prime: Hunters
Metroid Prime III: Corruption

We all know the story, Samus goes running through the planet in search of killing Metroids to save different things.  What I wanted to point out was how amazing the transfer from a sidescrolling adventure to a FPS adventure game was.
