No Megaman For Brawl December 23, 2007
Recently the Super Smash Bros. Dojo has’nt had too many exciting updates.It makes you wonder When they’re going to post Ganondorf,Captain Falcon,Luigi etc. . Instead, they post things like “The option Menu”,or “Sound effects”. While we have our high hopes up for another HUGE update like “Sonic” those hopes appear to die down.
Bionic Commando recently interviewed Keiji Inafune, the creator of Mega Man, who had this to say regarding Brawl: “Well, I really do love Super Smash Brothers. It’s a great series…but, Nintendo hasn’t asked me yet if they can use Mega Man in their game. I’m still waiting…we have a little bit of time left, it’s not coming out for another few months.”
From the looks of it there are only a few things that can be happening. Either he’s lying and it’s supposed to be a surprise ,they just have’nt gotten around to asking him,or Megaman Just won’t be in Brawl.
Well,let’s think,If Megaman won’t be in Brawl,Who are they going to resort to……Pac man? No!

I dont think he’ll make it. They only have a month until the Japan release, I dont think thats enough time.
assuming that the updates were all planned before the delay, we may not be seeing too many “huge” updates in the remaining weeks. after all, i believe Sonic was announced the day that they announced the delay, so it was kind of a make-up call.
Personally, I’m pretty satisfied with the updates so far because I’d assume that they aren’t announcing any of the secret characters (cuz that’d be a dick move) so I think that there are still some good surprises left.
well i dont think megaman fits in brawl at all.. what he really sucks he will screw the flavor of nintendo smash series.. i refuse and happy he’ll not make it

Thats a great character, and he suits up to the likes of Samus.
It would be a mistake not to add him in future games.
I would really like to see MegaMan, after all, he is not new to the area of fighting games, appearing in his own fighting game series as well as the Capcom VS series.

What kind of bugs me, though, is that the Pokemon Trainer is just that, a Pokemon Trainer, rather than being Ash. He looks close enough, but having the actual character of Ash from the anime series would be much better, rather than just being a generic Trainer that sits on the side.

I’m sure they’re keeping a lot of characters hidden until the game is actually released, to keep the element of surprise. Megaman would be great, but personally I’m not holding my breath.

well pac-man isnt a far stretch… there are sevral games close to cross overs like pacman vs (charels matni was the anoncer) and mario kart GP where they have pac man and the ghost.
Ryu would be 99 times better then pac-man or megaman! anyway he is the world warrior! him or sparkster the rocket knight … or pyramid head ^^
Duke nukem, Lara Croft, leisure suit larry, megaman, wonderboy, … C’mon Nintendo Don’t stick with your own franchises. The game is good now, but you can make it awesome!
No… those characters would kill the franchise. Smash Bros is a game for NINTENDO all stars to duke it out. I don’t mind a few 3rd parties, but too much would kill it.
On topic, I think we’re good without Megaman. If he’s in, fine. But don’t hold your breath.
