New information has emerged about Ubisoft’s upcoming Wii racer Nitrobike, scheduled for release later this month.

Players can compete with up to ten other racers, racing around tracks in order to hit jumps, completing tricks and trying to get 1st on the while. It takes more than a little from Excite Truck, which is not bad in my book.

Where it seeks to improve over Nintendo’s go is in the level of depth offered in the career mode. For all its arcade feel, Excite Truck’s own career mode should feel ever-so slightly underwhelming. In comparison, Nitrobike will include 65 events.

Even better is the implementation of online Wi-Fi Connection support, so you should be able to race your friends across the world.

No word yet whether the multiplayer takes place inside a career mode or is a separate area, so we can only hope developer Left Field’s vision of including more depth than Excite Truck crosses over into this mode as well.

Ha, I like the sounds of this game.

I’m really looking forward to something where we can do some amazing tricks.

In addition, didn’t this game come out yesterday?

Nope, it’s set for next week to differentiate from Sonic Riders: Zero Gravity.

If this had come out this week, I would be playing it right now, haha. \:D/

    Ahh, thanks Roth!

    How is Riders then?

Riders, I’ve only seen 1 review so far and it’s a passing grade. It’s good considering the PS2 version, but for Wii you would expect more such as online multi-racer. The casting of characters are top notch. Even NiGHTS is featured in there, you believe that? Haha.
Wii version does have the Wi-Fi logo, but it could be for leaderboards/race times, etc. Otherwise, I’d grab it right away.

Between the two games, I’d wait an extra week for nitroBike first. Riders ZG may get a rent or a wait for deal if you’re a video game collector like myself.

I wonder what the online capabilities will be like.
