Brawl Delay Confirmed January 15, 2008
You read it correct, this is no joke. The good fella’s at smashbros.com had this to say:
“Due to delays in the completion of Super Smash Bros. Brawl, we’ve had to change the release date of the game to Sunday, March 9th.
I deeply apologize to the people who have looked forward to playing the game for so long and ask that you hold on just a little longer. Thank you for your patience.”
So, March 9th till we get our precious Brawl. It is about two months from now.

Yeah, i know, it’s probably because they know that the more time it’s delayed, the more wii’s sold… the more games sold. damn them! i wish i had it in me to not buy the game, it’s almost like they don’t deserve it

The people complaining are more frustrated with Nintendo’s inability to properly project when their games will be done and continually give players false hope. If a game isn’t done, it of course is best to delay it, but stop making promises about when the games will be done. This happens with 90% of Nintendo’s games. You would think by now they would be able to estimate how long it would take to get a game done, after 30 years in the business.
They’re not adding anything. Especially with the Japanese release date so close. I just lost all hope with nintendo. I wouldn’t be surprised we see another delay. SSBB is officially off my list of games to buy.

“Well, I really do love Super Smash Brothers. It’s a great series…but, Nintendo hasn’t asked me yet if they can use Mega Man in their game. I’m still waiting…we have a little bit of time left, it’s not coming out for another few months. They might get around to asking us if we’d like to put Mega Man in Super Smash Brothers. Maybe if somebody from Nintendo is listening to this podcast, they’ll give me a call.”

So imagine sometime, between then and last week Nintendo decided to call Keiji up and ask if they could add in the character. It must’ve been a last minute choice. \:D/

HAHA! Like they did on Twilight Princess. Haha, second release date was on Dec 3rd I think.
ahh well get there one day!! probably fixing up wifi n is that the official box art? cuz its waaayy better than the other one.
My sources tell me that the developer is not happy with the controll scheme on the Wiimote/Nunchuck combo. They want it to work flawlessly and right now that’s not the case.
Jesus they better not add any waggle to this game.
If they delayed the game for Waggle ill be pissed off.
I’m probably one of the few people not completely disappointed with this delay. Just imagine how awesome the game is going to be, it’s coming out nearly a year and a half later than it was initially set to come out. They might even put Mega Man in.
Plus, this would really help with the sales of No More Heroes.

i think that maybe we can tell Nintendo what we think by messaging them on the “Voting

That is not the official box art; I am pretty sure the “other one” is. The boxes with the faces aren’t smooth enough for professional work.
You can easily tell thats not the oficial box art seeing that the pictures of the characters at the front are the same ones that the ones put at the dojo… Im pretty sure that the other box art is the oficcial because they have used it for the japanese comercials… Anyway the other one is much better.
Well, at least we Canadians/Americans have a release date, and I’m confident that with SSBB already on the market in Japan there will be no more delays for us, just think about poor Europe
I guess.
