The simExchange Predictions January 17, 2008

Filed under: News — SirVenom @ 10:18 pm

Since the December sales figures for a few games and the consoles were released, I thought I would compare them the figures forcasted by the simExchange. All figures are approximate.

OVER THE COURSE OF DECEMBER:

Nintendo DS:
Prediction - 2,900,000 units
Actual sales - 2,500,000 units

Wii:
Prediction - 1,730,000 units
Actual sales - 1,400,000 units

Xbox 360:
Prediction - 1,450,000 units
Actual sales - 1,300,000 units

Playstation Portable:
Prediction - 1,030,000 units
Actual sales - 1,000,000 units

Playstation 3:
Prediction - 854,000 units
Actual sales - 800,000 units

Super Mario Galaxy:
Prediction - 1,260,000 units
Actual sales - 1,400,000 units

As you can see, the predictions are not precise, but they are quite impressive for the method in which they are made. See the original predictions here
