Is your wii not able to connect to the internet anymore? March 15, 2008

Apparently since the latest Wii system update the system will not connect to a Belking router. I was wondering if this was true so I went to http://www.support.nintendo.com to see if it was true. Nintendo had this to say

Belkin F5D7230-4 ver. 4000

Due to firmware updates and newer versions of this router, information on this page may not be the most current. We recommend that you ensure your router has the most current firmware update installed. Check with the router manufacturer for the most current information.

If you need help locating the settings described on this page, or have questions on how to adjust them, refer to the router’s manual, the router’s manufacturer, or the internet service provider that installed your router.

Important Note: Our experience has shown that this router is likely to be incompatible with connecting the Wii console online.

Apparently, you need a Nintendo USB connector to connect to the internet.

    WHAT?!

    I sent my wii out to nintendo to get it cleaned a while back,I’m supposed to get it back soon,but now this?

    WHAT THE @#$%?!!?!?!

    When will I ever be able to Brawl online

    Yes this is the same question I want answered… i have not been able to play online the whole time its been out. (well once when I got a signal from across the street =] lol

    I have a Belkin router with an updated firmware and have no problems connecting to the internet with the latest Wii update. My firmware version is 9.01.10.

    i have a belkin router and i can connect just fine. just got done about 20 min ago beating some sonic user

    Damn I hope I’m not the only one with this problem, I have a SBG900 Wireless Surfboard Motorola Gateway and I can’t connect to Internet, I’ve tried all the manual settings stuff and it just doesn’t work.

    Please can someone help me?

    I’m using Belkin N1 Vision W-less Router and it’s just fine.

    I also have a Belkin router and everything is working fine.
