WiiNintendo Scavenger Hunt April 14, 2008
*Bumped. This is getting mercilessly buried by one heck of a new blogger :P*
Hello loyal readers! Heck, hello to the not-so-loyal ones too!
Starting today and ending Friday, I will be hosting something of a Scavenger Hunt. You will be looking for this picture:

Of course, I uploaded it to with a different file name, so that URL won’t do you any good.
Oh, and yeah, there WILL BE A PRIZE. The winner will recieve the Virtual Console game of his or her choice, supplied by site creator and frankly very cool guy (;)) Mickey DeLorenzo, AKA Hey_Suburbia.
The picture, or maybe just its URL, will be hidden in an article somewhere on WiiNintendo. To get to it, you will have to follow a series of clues embedded in many articles throughout the site. How will you find them? Let me explain that…
To start you off, I will give you the link to the first page at the end of this article. In that page, you will be given a clue to find the next article, which will also give you a clue. Clues may be very straightforward (such as “Go here”) or very subtle (such as Great Scott! How ever are you doing that?(italics are the clues here))
Clues will give you one of two things: A direct link to the next article, or keywords to type in the WiiNintendo search engine.

The direct link is pretty straightforward, but the keywords are where you need to look closely.
In the case that you are using a keyword search, the clue will be in one article within the first five pages of results. You may need to click the “More” buttons on many of the articles to find it. Don’t forget that these clues can be very subtle at times, though! Also, don’t forget to read image descriptions by holding the mouse cursor over them!
Ok, one very important thing to remember: I will be adding clues daily. If you reach the dead end today (you will be told when you have), wait until I announce the addition of more clues tomorrow. This system allows readers that start a day or three later to catch up.
Now what am I forgetting? Oh, yeah. If you have questions or have solved the Hunt, email me with your solution at sirvenom ( a t ) wiinintendo ( d o t ) net. I will NOT give hints, but I will answer general questions.
Ok, let’s get started. Here is the first article.
Special thanks to Potatoman for the idea!
P.S.: Doing the hunt? Finished for the day? Leave your feedback here!

What do you think? Be sure to leave some feedback here!
I will be looking around (that’s if I’m allowed to enter) and Great idea.
Sure, I won’t stop you. If you win, I will leave it completely up to you whether or not to claim the prize
And give credit where it is due; Potatoman came up with the game, I just threw in a few things to make it last longer
LOL, Shall we make this an annual WiiNin Scavenger Hunt?
Power to the Readers! \:D/
// Roth
You know, Roth, that is a good idea! Let’s see how this one blows over.
Hey, by the way, how far is everyone? Don’t say what page you are on, just how many clues you have been through. How it goes today will give me an idea of how to go about it tomorrow.
I’ve only found two clues.
Ok, Nate, you are at one of the harder ones. Remember my tips in the article, and re-read them if necessary
I’ve looked through all four pages of results and I haven’t found anything that looks like a third clue.
I’ve just found the first clue.
can anybody help me for the second clue pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee.
Nate, since I said I won’t give tips I will quote from the article:
In the case that you are using a keyword search, the clue will be in one article within the first five pages of results. You may need to click the “More” buttons on many of the articles to find it. Don’t forget that these clues can be very subtle at times, though! Also, don’t forget to read image descriptions by holding the mouse cursor over them!
I must say that the third clue was the one I was worried about being a bit hard…
But it is there, I assure you. I checked a few times on each.
Help second one pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
a clue or a hint
Rafey, are you looking for the second clue (that is, right after the Wii Sports Experiment), or using the second clue?
I give up
Hey, as I said I can clarify things. I listed pretty much everything necessary in Comment 12.
Are you trying to get to the second one or are you on it?
*Bumped. This is getting mercilessly buried by one heck of a new blogger :P*
Hahaha. I got my orders to “post like crazy” from Mick. I’ll try to slow down I guess.
wait the link looks like its broken? huh it might just be me.
Lol, no need to slow down, Brad! I can bump this as many times as it takes
Posting like crazy is good!
Welcome to the team! Of course, you will probably be more of a leader than a team member, being Mick’s bro
I do know how to read the directions. But I still haven’t found anything in an image alt text or any strange formatting. I’ve looked through the bodies of all the stories and nothing. Are comments and videos included in the hunt or can those be ignored?
No, videos and comments can be ignored… I will mention that in my next post.
Hmmm, I will also give an official hint to this third clue too, seeing as this seems to be the one stumping everyone.
Just a quick semi-hint for anyone stuck on the third clue. Everything you need is in comment 12, but you might not be able to see it unless you are using Internet Explorer as your browser. I couldn’t find it when I was using Safari, but it was there when I tried using IE.
I guess I’m out then because I’m a Linux user and I’ll only use Firefox.
Ok, I will add that IE is necessary on that…. Hey, Nate…. if you have the time, you could view the page’s source code to look for the hint….. I will be narrowing down where the hint is in my next article.
Nice job on the last clue (meaning the one before the dead end). Kind of tricky.
Thanks
I can come right out and say that won’t be the only one of its kind, but today’s will be easy.
