Scavenger Hunt Updated! April 15, 2008
Bumped for the hunters.
Update:
I forgot to announce that I will let this go on as long as it takes for it to be solved, even if it means letting it go long past Friday. When someone solves it, I will also enlighten anyone who was stumped with a step-by-step walkthrough for the hunt. The clues will be removed a few days after the prize is claimed.
Hello, happy hunters! Actually, right now there are quite a few unhappy ones too…. hello to you too!
I have a message for all of you.

To everyone:
You do NOT need to read comments or watch videos for key words.
To the happy hunters (i.e., those found all of yesterday’s clues):
I have added more clues. Today is excruciatingly easy compared to yesterday; this should be a breeze. Don’t worry, tomorrow will be tough again. I am just letting the ones that are stuck catch up, and they will know the system a bit better by the time they do.
To the unhappy hunters (i.e., those who are stuck trying to find the third hint, which is rather tough):
I have an official hint for all of you, since that one is admittedly hard.
First off, the keywords that lead you to it have a space between them; I am sure that you guys figured that out though.
Secondly, the article you are hunting for is on the SECOND PAGE OF RESULTS. That is a HUGE hint, people!
Thirdly, remember this paragraph from the original article:
In the case that you are using a keyword search, the clue will be in one article within the first five pages of results. You may need to click the “More” buttons on many of the articles to find it. Don’t forget that these clues can be very subtle at times, though! Also, don’t forget to read image descriptions by holding the mouse cursor over them!
Lastly, I have heard that non-Internet Explorer users have trouble with this. If you have IE installed, I advise that you use it. If not, you may want to use the View Source feature individually on each article.
Also, on a side note, I won’t stop members from giving hints in the comments; but don’t by any means EXPECT them to. For general questions, you can contact me at: sirvenom ( A T ) wiinintendo ( D O T ) net.
Do not forget there is a prize at stake!
No idea what I am talking about? Here is the original article.
*fixed the link*

Ah, finally found it! I wonder why that wasn’t showing up in Firefox. All the other alt text does. Quite the apropos clue.
Nice to hear that
Good luck!
Much easier today. Now I can get some work done.
I can’t believe I’m having trouble finding the second clue. I’ve read all of the articles twice. Is it a straight forward clue, or an italicized clue?
scratch that, found it, finally. Man I feel stupid…
Man I cannot find the third clue the closest thing to different is “My Spanish coach” is that it?
No, at first I didn’t know what you were talking about, but I found that and fixed the formatting.
These hints in this article are for finding the third clue, so review them carefully
ugghh… I’m recording links incase I find red herrings, which I’m afraid I may have picked up on that last hint (unfortunately, I haven’t been keeping track, I’ll try and remember which one).
Let’s see:
Clue found in the Wiisports experiment (I assume it’s safe to say, since the link you gave us in the original article directly leads us there)
The clue I had trouble finding for a bit.
The clue I found quite easily after that (thanks to the hint given, by you)
The “end of monday” clue.
The clue where I lol’d when I read you’re extra comment (because i couldn’t agree more).
The clue in the some-what not-quite realated article.
I think there was a clue here, I can’t quite remember.
Then, I think this one comes next, I made it to the clue that is kind of a riddle, due to my inability to no-longer think inside of the box. I may have picked up a red herring here, so I placed a link where no-one else should get it.
Not-quite related article? Hmmm, not sure what you mean by that…
But the riddle clue, that I remember. It isn’t so much a riddle as…. never mind
I don’t have any official red herrings today (can’t speak for the other days, though
). Anything that appears to be a red herring is either misunderstanding my clues or parts of other articles that are formatted badly.
well after reading the seconds page 5 times!!!!!!! this is all I got
SURGEON GENERAL’S WARNING: Prolonged exposure to Saga Frontier has been proven to cause cancer in lab rats.
Is Saga Frontier the code? Because I am freaking stuck =I
and that was on page 3
huh am I close with this? pm me on the forums if I am on the right track
1Up Dragon Quest Swords Impressions
Red Steel Impressions (This wasn’t a link)
GameVideos
Nope, it is page two…. here is the paragraph you should pay special attention to, over all the rest:
In the case that you are using a keyword search, the clue will be in one article within the first five pages of results. You may need to click the “More” buttons on many of the articles to find it. Don’t forget that these clues can be very subtle at times, though! Also, don’t forget to read image descriptions by holding the mouse cursor over them!
You still have a few days before this thing ends, so no need to rush, and no need to give up.
No, those that you listed are on the third page.
Well I have been looking at the 2nd page of the freaking search (by the way you left out the “l” in the link to this part of the search. Also when I read that do you mean it is withing 5 pages?
“In the case that you are using a keyword search, the clue will be in one article within the first FIVE PAGES of results.”
the only thing different is that the Bawl on the “E for all” post has Super smash bros. brawl as a tag and the other picture below have things like “i1249″ and stuff
Okay I am done Either what I see is on a different page then 2 or nothing is “spaced” like you said in the hint. Good luck everyone else who found it.
I’ve made some wonderful progress. lol you have spoon fed us enough, but I think I’m in the lead now, since I had some extra time to catch up, and I don’t think anyone else has gotten this far yet. So, I found the clue in that riddle. Well, actually it was more straighforward than it was anything…
With all of that aside, I look forward to tomorrow’s hunt. And good luck to the other hunters, but the ultimate power shall be mine! :] lol
Just a quick question: will you always make a new post when you update the clues? Or was that just for today?
Potatoman: I took a look at the first second clue; the i is there… right next to the first letter.
People have found the third clue, I assure you it is there. Hopefully you will see it by Friday
Luke: Yeah, I will announce the addition of clues daily so that people don’t work their backsides off thinking I added them
Heh heh… yeah. I was up at 6:00 this morning (because I had weights), and that’s what I did.
Lol, ouch. I could see that making someone bang their heads on the desk.
I reached the current end. This is fun. I got stuck yesterday on number two, but I didn’t have much time to devote to it. It’s quite fulfilling to definitively find the clues. I wasn’t so sure I was right on the last one and almost didn’t find the end notification. I think I’m gettin’ tired…
Okie, so I’m on what I think ya’ll are referring to as “the riddle” I cannot even figure out where to find the obvious..Still this is great I must say! It’s so fun having a challenge. I
Tip for FireFox users: Right click on images and select properties to view alt text. The third clue on Monday didn’t pop up the tooltip for the alternate text like it should have.
Next clues coming soon! I am currently adding them, last clues first.
