Wii Fits Are Stocked and Sold Out on Same Day July 1, 2008
Best Buy Co. Inc.’s online division on Monday sold out of Nintendo Co.’s Wii Fit following a restock of the product on the same day.
Wii Fit has held a sold out status at most retailers due to high-demand for the fitness product.
The $89.99 SKU includes the Wii Balance Board, a scale-like device that allows owners to facilitate more than 40 yoga, muscle training, aerobics, and balance exercises.
Despite a sell out, Wii Fit still ranks in the top five products at Amazon.com, where resellers are offering the product at a premium price.
Current accessories available for Wii Fit include the Balanced Board Rechargeable Battery Pack, Wii Fit Travel Bag, and Wii Fit Yoga Mat.
NPD Group Inc. this month said that Wii ranked as the No. 1-selling video game hardware in May U.S. sales, moving 675,089 units during the month.
