According to joystiq.com , a 19-year old German homebrew programmar named “Fuzzy” is working on a portable Super Smash Bros. game for the DS titled “Super Smash Bros. Rumble.”

As shown in the videos, a whole lot of work still needs to be done, but it’s a great idea for homebrew users, and Smash fans alike. He also has a blog with a demo link inside.

The language in the videos is not German. Maybe Dutch?

Lookin good so far, but obviously very far from being done. The Battle system could use some improvement (items, lotsa small stuff…)

Oh and incase Fuzzy somehow sees this, He should know this: “Anything you can do Nintendo can do better.”

It does look good so far, and looks like a LOT of hard work. Might I ask why it couldn’t look more like the original Smash Bros? Obviously, you’d want to increase the graphics, menus, options, and sound as much as possible. But I thought it’d be cool to have it closer to the actual game. Not just a simple fighter where people bounce around. (I know I’m asking so much for having no clue how to do it and knowing how much work you’ve put into this so far.)
